- 2 cups active sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 cups bread flour

Instructions
- Combine 2 cups of your active sourdough starter with 1/2 cup of water in a large bowl. Mix well until uniform.
- Add in 4 cups of bread flour and 1 teaspoon of salt. Stir until the dough begins to form.
- Fold in 1 cup of chopped fresh strawberries, being careful not to crush the berries.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth and let it rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the dough into a loaf, tucking the strawberries gently inside.
- Place the loaf into a greased pan and allow it to rise again for about an hour.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust turns a deep golden brown.
- Let the loaf cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Consider using ripe strawberries for the best flavor. This bread can be stored at room temperature wrapped in a kitchen towel for up to three days or frozen for longer storage.
