Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Combine the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Stir until fully dissolved.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil gradually, mixing until a shaggy dough forms. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise again for 30-60 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
For deeper flavor development, you can prepare the dough the night before and let it rise in the refrigerator overnight.
