- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, around 3-5 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together for rolling in a small bowl.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls, coating each in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden at the edges with soft centers.
- Cool on the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Ensure butter is at room temperature for optimal creaming. Dough can chill for better shape retention while baking.
