Description

Delicious garlic bread filled with savory meatballs and topped with melty cheese and rich marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French Bread or Italian Bread
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or oregano) as desired

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the bread by slicing it in half lengthwise and hollowing out some of the inner bread.
  3. Combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and herbs in a bowl.
  4. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about one inch in diameter.
  5. Cook the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until browned on the outside.
  6. Assemble the boats by placing hollowed bread halves on a baking sheet, spreading marinara sauce on each, arranging meatballs on top, and sprinkling mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm, optionally garnishing with fresh herbs.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different meats or cheeses. Can be made ahead of time.
