Description

Delicious and hearty bowls filled with chili, Fritos, and gooey melted cheese, perfect for comfort food lovers.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
  • 2 cans Chili Beans
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 4 cups Fritos Corn Chips
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or Pepper Jack)
  • Toppings: Fresh jalapeños, diced onions, sour cream, avocado, cilantro, sliced olives

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat: In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add The Aromatics: Stir in finely chopped onions and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Combine the Base: Add chili beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, and cumin. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Fritos: Set out Fritos in serving bowls.
  5. Assembly Time: Ladle chili generously over the Fritos.
  6. Finish Strong: Top with shredded cheese and your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, prepare the chili a day in advance. Serve Fritos separately to keep them crunchy.
