Description

A rich and creamy confection that melts in your mouth, perfect for special occasions or simply sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine the granulated sugar, heavy cream, unsalted butter, corn syrup, and vanilla extract in a heavy saucepan.
  2. Set the saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar completely dissolves (about 5 minutes).
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, cooking until it reaches the soft ball stage (240°F or 115°C).
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly for safe handling.
  5. Grease your hands generously with butter, and begin pulling the candy, stretching and folding it for about 7-10 minutes until it lightens in color.
  6. Shape the pulled candy into logs or bite-sized pieces and dust with powdered sugar.
  7. Let the candy set at room temperature for a few hours before cutting into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks in the refrigerator, or freeze for longer preservation.
