  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Pizza sauce
  • Cheese (e.g., mozzarella, cheddar)
  • Various toppings (plump pepperoni, colorful veggies)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a separate bowl. Create a well in the center, pour in yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Roll out the risen dough to your desired thickness and place it on a pizza stone or greased baking sheet.
  7. Spread pizza sauce evenly across the dough, sprinkle with cheese, and add your favorite toppings.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
