Description

A hearty and flavorful skillet dish combining ground beef, potatoes, and bell peppers, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until golden brown, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Sauté aromatics: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add potatoes: Stir in the diced potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in vegetables and seasonings: Add diced tomatoes and chopped bell pepper. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  5. Melt the cheese: If using, sprinkle cheese over the hash and cover until melted.
  6. Serve and garnish: Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a twist, try adding a fried egg on top or some avocado slices as a garnish.
