Description

Tender and flavorful meatballs made with a unique blend of ground beef and pork, served in rich marinara sauce, ideal for family dinners and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef, ground pork, uncooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into uniform meatballs about 1 inch in size.
  3. Brown the meatballs in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, until browned on all sides.
  4. Simmer the marinara sauce over the browned meatballs, cover, and reduce heat to low. Allow to simmer for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, drizzled with extra marinara sauce if desired.

Notes

These meatballs can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen for later use. They can also be baked or air-fried for a different preparation method.
