- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Mix the ground beef, ground pork, uncooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Shape the mixture into uniform meatballs about 1 inch in size.
- Brown the meatballs in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, until browned on all sides.
- Simmer the marinara sauce over the browned meatballs, cover, and reduce heat to low. Allow to simmer for 30-40 minutes.
- Serve hot, drizzled with extra marinara sauce if desired.
Notes
These meatballs can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen for later use. They can also be baked or air-fried for a different preparation method.
