Description

A delightful twist on traditional sourdough, this chocolate sourdough starter infuses rich chocolate flavor with the tang of fermentation, perfect for baking unique treats.


Ingredients

  • 100g All-Purpose Flour
  • 100g Sourdough Starter
  • 50g Cocoa Powder
  • 100g Water
  • 50g Sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine 100g all-purpose flour, 50g cocoa powder, and 50g sugar in a mixing bowl. Whisk together until well blended.
  2. Add 100g of your active sourdough starter and 100g of water to the mixture. Blend until smooth and free from dry patches.
  3. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let it sit at room temperature for 12-24 hours until bubbly and doubled in size.

Notes

Make-ahead: Create your starter a day or two in advance for deeper flavor. Consider adding cinnamon or tiny chocolate chips for extra flair.
