Description

Indulge in these irresistibly soft and rich chocolate chip cookies enhanced by creamy cream cheese for a delightful twist on the classic.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips and/or M&M’s
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl, then set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and/or M&M’s.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers are soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra softness, allow eggs and cream cheese to reach room temperature before mixing. You can freeze the dough for fresh cookies anytime.
