Description

A comforting casserole combining juicy chicken and crispy tater tots baked to perfection under a layer of gooey cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 bag of frozen tater tots
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and mixed vegetables in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish thoroughly.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top.
  6. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Prepare the mixture a day in advance for enhanced flavor. Consider using an air fryer for smaller portions.
