Description

A delightful dessert featuring grilled pineapple caramelized with brown sugar for a perfect balance of sweetness and slight bitterness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe pineapple
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat, allowing it to fully warm up for perfect caramelization.
  2. Peel, core, and cut the pineapple into delightful rings or wedges.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, and optional cinnamon until well blended.
  4. Use a basting brush to generously brush the mixture onto the pineapple pieces.
  5. Place the pineapple directly on the grill grates and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Once the fruit is beautifully browned and softening, remove from the grill.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Slice the pineapple ahead of time and store in an airtight container. Cooking alternatives include air frying or broiling.
