Description

Delicious breakfast rolls filled with creamy scrambled eggs, savory ham, and melting cheddar cheese, drizzled with rich hollandaise sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup ham, diced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 large eggs, scrambled
  • Butter for brushing
  • Hollandaise sauce for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Stir in the flour, salt, and egg until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes on a floured surface.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size, about 60 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick and smooth spread scrambled eggs, diced ham, and cheese over it.
  6. Roll tightly from one edge and slice into even sections.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter before baking.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Drizzle with hollandaise sauce if desired before serving.

Notes

You can customize these rolls using turkey bacon or spinach for a veggie version.
