Delightful Beef Rolls Cordon Bleu filled with ham and cheese, perfectly rolled and baked until crispy.
Ingredients

- 1 lb flank steak or beef tenderloin
- 4 slices thinly sliced ham
- 4 slices Swiss cheese (or Gruyère, or cheddar)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Tenderize the beef by placing it between two pieces of plastic wrap and pounding it to an even thickness of about ¼ inch.
- Season both sides of the beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Layer the filling by placing ham slices on the beef, followed by cheese.
- Roll the beef tightly from one end to the other and secure with toothpicks or kitchen twine.
- Dredge the rolls by rolling them in flour, dipping in egg wash, and coating with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and brown the rolls on each side for about 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the rolls to a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked.
- Rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
