Description

Delightful apple turnovers wrapped in flaky biscuits, perfect for a cozy weekend brunch or afternoon treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the biscuit mix and milk until a soft dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface.
  4. Cut the dough into squares, around 4″x4″.
  5. Combine diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl and toss gently.
  6. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each dough square.
  7. Fold the dough over to form triangles and crimp edges with a fork.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter and egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These turnovers can be frozen before baking and baked from frozen for a quick treat!
