- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the biscuit mix and milk until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface.
- Cut the dough into squares, around 4″x4″.
- Combine diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl and toss gently.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each dough square.
- Fold the dough over to form triangles and crimp edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
These turnovers can be frozen before baking and baked from frozen for a quick treat!
