Description

Delicious and crispy onion ring chips made with freshly grated parmesan and perfectly sliced onions, perfect for snacking and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 225 grams freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 medium yellow onions
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Set it to 200°C (about 400°F).
  2. Prepare Your Baking Pan: Line a large rimmed baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Spread the Cheese: Evenly distribute the freshly grated parmesan cheese across the pan.
  4. Slice Your Onions: Slice the yellow onions into very thin rings, about 4 millimeters in width.
  5. Arrange the Onion Rings: Lay the onion rings in a single layer on top of the parmesan.
  6. Brush with Oil: Lightly brush the tops of the onion rings with avocado oil.
  7. Season Generously: Sprinkle paprika, coarse sea salt, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and black pepper over the onions.
  8. Bake to Crispy Perfection: Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and crunchy.
  9. Cool and Serve: Allow to cool on the pan for at least 10 minutes before breaking into pieces.
