Description

A refreshing slaw with crunchy cabbage, carrots, and dill pickles, balanced by sweet honey and spicy Sriracha.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, grated
  • ½ cup dill pickles, chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prep the vegetables: Start by shredding the cabbage finely and grating the carrots. Toss them with the chopped pickles and thinly sliced red onion in a large mixing bowl to combine all the flavors.
  2. Make the dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), Sriracha sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar until smooth and well-blended.
  3. Combine: Drizzle the luscious dressing over the vegetable mixture. Use tongs or a spatula to toss everything together until all the vegetables are evenly coated.
  4. Chill: Cover the slaw and refrigerate for at least one hour to marry the flavors.
  5. Serve: Toss the slaw again before serving and garnish with extra pickles or a sprinkle of Sriracha if desired.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prepare a day in advance. Avoid overmixing to maintain crunch.
