Description

Mini brownie bites that combine the rich taste of cocoa with the enchanting hue of red velvet. Perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your mini muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Then, add buttermilk, red food coloring, and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Allow to cool in the tin for a few minutes before removing.

Notes

You can refrigerate the batter overnight for convenience. For dairy-free options, substitute butter with coconut oil and buttermilk with plant-based alternatives.
