Description

Deliciously tender meatballs filled with spinach and oozing mozzarella, perfect for a cozy dinner or a gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 8 oz Low-Moisture Mozzarella Cubes
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add fresh spinach, and sauté until wilted (2–3 minutes). Remove from heat and cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, sautéed spinach, garlic, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix gently.
  4. Fold in the mozzarella cubes carefully.
  5. Shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place them on a lined baking sheet, spacing them out.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

Use chilled mozzarella to prevent leaks while baking. Ensure even meatball size for consistent cooking.
