- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into even chunks to ensure uniform cooking.
- Boil the sweet potato chunks in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot. Let them steam briefly to remove excess moisture.
- Stir in the milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then mash until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Melt the butter in a bowl and combine it with the chopped walnuts and breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle the topping over the sweet potato mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the topping turns golden brown and crisp.
