- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup cold water

- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour and salt, then cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cold water gradually until the dough comes together. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
- On half of the rectangles, place a spoonful of cheese and bacon or sausage, then season with salt and pepper.
- Top with the remaining rectangles and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
