- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
- 1 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup diced onions
- Optional toppings: pickles, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). This sets the stage for optimal baking.
- Cook the ground beef and diced onions in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Whisk together milk, eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked beef mixture and half of the cheese.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish and spread evenly, then top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden and the center is set.
