Description

A delightful hybrid between a cheeseburger and a savory pie, filled with seasoned beef, cheese, and onions, all encased in a flaky crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • Optional toppings: pickles, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). This sets the stage for optimal baking.
  2. Cook the ground beef and diced onions in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Whisk together milk, eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cooked beef mixture and half of the cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish and spread evenly, then top with the remaining cheese.
