Description

Delicious pecan pie bars that offer a perfect blend of textures and flavors, ideal for gatherings and holiday feasts.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups pecans, chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gradually introduce the all-purpose flour and salt, blending until well combined.
  4. Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of your prepared pan.
  5. Beat the eggs in another bowl, then stir in the corn syrup, bourbon, and cinnamon until fully combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans, ensuring even distribution throughout the mixture.
  7. Drizzle the pecan mixture over the crust and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool completely in the baking pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prepare the crust a day in advance. Also, feel free to substitute maple syrup for corn syrup for a deeper flavor.
