- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
- Gradually introduce the all-purpose flour and salt, blending until well combined.
- Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of your prepared pan.
- Beat the eggs in another bowl, then stir in the corn syrup, bourbon, and cinnamon until fully combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans, ensuring even distribution throughout the mixture.
- Drizzle the pecan mixture over the crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool completely in the baking pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, prepare the crust a day in advance. Also, feel free to substitute maple syrup for corn syrup for a deeper flavor.
