- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup Bisquick or similar baking mix
- 3 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- Optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cheese, mixing well with the beef and onions. Season with salt and pepper.
- Whisk together the milk, baking mix, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the beef mixture into the pie crust in a pie dish.
- Pour the batter mixture over the beef, covering it completely.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serve with optional toppings.
Notes
To save time, prepare the beef mixture a day ahead. Customize with extra veggies or different cheeses.
