Description

A comforting one-pan dinner that combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger in a delicious pie format.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup Bisquick or similar baking mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cheese, mixing well with the beef and onions. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Whisk together the milk, baking mix, and eggs until smooth.
  5. Pour the beef mixture into the pie crust in a pie dish.
  6. Pour the batter mixture over the beef, covering it completely.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before slicing and serve with optional toppings.

Notes

To save time, prepare the beef mixture a day ahead. Customize with extra veggies or different cheeses.
