- 2 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 8 oz Bowtie pasta
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the bowtie pasta, and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving a cup of pasta water for later.
- Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Brown the Chicken: Add the diced chicken to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Create the Cream Sauce: Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, simmering gently for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Combine and Melt: Add the cooked pasta and mozzarella cheese, tossing until the cheese melts and coats the pasta. If too thick, stir in reserved pasta water.
- Serve and Enjoy: Plate warm, garnished with parmesan and parsley as desired.
