Description

Delightful Mediterranean crisps filled with savory spinach and creamy feta, enveloped in flaky phyllo dough.


Ingredients

  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mixed Mediterranean herbs (oregano, thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté olive oil, onions, and garlic in a pan until translucent.
  3. Cook the spinach until wilted.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing spinach, feta, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Layer phyllo dough in a greased baking dish, brushing with olive oil.
  6. Spread the spinach and feta filling evenly over the phyllo layers.
  7. Top with more phyllo, brushing each layer with olive oil.
  8. Cut the dish into squares or strips.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.
