- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup American cheese, shredded (or Velveeta cubes)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Ranch or burger sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish liberally.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it into small pieces. Add the diced onion and continue cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; cook for another minute.
- Combine the softened cream cheese with half of the cheddar and half of the American cheese in a mixing bowl until well blended. Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
- Top with the beef mixture, then sprinkle the remaining cheddar and American cheese over the beef. Add half of the crumbled bacon on top.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top, ensuring they do not overlap. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the remaining bacon, diced tomatoes, pickles, and chopped green onions. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with ranch or burger sauce.
Notes
Grease your baking dish well to prevent sticking. Prepare ingredients ahead of time for easier assembly.
