- 1 pound beef (flank steak or chuck)
- 4 cups beef broth
- 8 ounces noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles)
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat until it glistens.
- Add the sliced beef to the pot and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add minced garlic, sliced onion, and ginger. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in beef broth, soy sauce, carrots, and bell peppers. Bring to a gentle simmer and cover the pot, cooking for 1.5 to 2 hours.
- In a separate pot, cook noodles according to package instructions. Aim for al dente.
- Once the beef is tender, shred it using two forks and return to the pot.
- Add cooked noodles into the pot and gently stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh green onions.
