Delicious and crispy beef katsu served over rice with a rich tonkatsu sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1/2 cup tonkatsu sauce
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season the beef slices with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each slice in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the breaded beef slices until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the crispy beef katsu over cooked rice.
- Drizzle with tonkatsu sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double coat the beef by repeating the egg and panko steps.
- Serve with pickled vegetables for added flavor.
- Adjust the amount of tonkatsu sauce according to your taste preference.
