Description

Delicious and crispy beef katsu served over rice with a rich tonkatsu sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup tonkatsu sauce
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the beef slices with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each slice in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the breaded beef slices until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve the crispy beef katsu over cooked rice.
  7. Drizzle with tonkatsu sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double coat the beef by repeating the egg and panko steps.
  • Serve with pickled vegetables for added flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of tonkatsu sauce according to your taste preference.
