- 1 teaspoon of dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, or bay leaf)
- 1 cup of pasta or rice (optional)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In your slow cooker, layer the meat, broth, chopped vegetables, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs. Stir gently.
- Add Pasta or Rice: If using, add pasta or rice to the slow cooker.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the meat is tender.
- Taste and Adjust: Before serving, taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary.
Notes
For added flavor, consider sautéing onions and garlic before adding them to the slow cooker. This soup stores beautifully and can be made ahead of time.
