Description

A comforting and creamy dish featuring perfectly cooked pasta shells coated in a rich cheese sauce and topped with crispy breadcrumbs.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta shells
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: breadcrumbs for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the flour and whisk for 1 minute until it becomes a light golden paste.
  4. Add the milk gradually and whisk until smooth, then simmer until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
  6. Combine the pasta shells with the cheese sauce and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Transfer to a lightly greased baking dish if baking.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes if desired.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes
