Description

Delicious tilapia fillets baked in a rich garlic butter sauce, enhanced with lemon and parsley.


Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange the fillets on a prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, paprika, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 1 minute.
  7. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the tilapia fillets.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  9. Garnish with additional parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.

Notes

Tip: Use an air fryer at 375°F for quicker cooking, about 8-10 minutes.
