Description

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Swiss meringue buttercream:
  • 1 cup egg whites
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups unsalted butter
  • Edible flowers for decoration
  • Gold leaf for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the pans.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Pour in vanilla extract and milk, blending until combined.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
  7. Evenly divide batter into prepared pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool cakes in pans, then transfer to wire racks.
  10. Frost with Swiss meringue buttercream and decorate as desired.
