Description

A warm and hearty casserole featuring golden-brown pierogies and savory kielbasa, all cooked to creamy perfection in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 3 packages Mrs. T’s cheddar pierogies
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Slice the kielbasa, measure out the broth, and shred the cheese.
  2. Layer Bowls: Place the frozen pierogies at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Add Kielbasa: Toss in the sliced kielbasa on top of the pierogies.
  4. Creamy Mixture: Blend the cream cheese and chicken broth until smooth, then pour over the layers in the crockpot.
  5. Season and Bake: Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste, and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Cook Slow: Set the crockpot on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  7. Serve Warm: Once done, stir gently and enjoy hot.
