Description

A flavorful and zesty grilled chicken dish marinated in lime and chili, perfect for gatherings and weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Chicken Breasts
  • Juice of 2 Limes
  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Chopped Cilantro for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, blend the lime juice, chili powder, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring each piece gets a generous coating. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight).
  3. Preheat the Grill or Oven: Heat your grill to medium-high or preheat oven to 400°F.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Grill or bake the marinated chicken for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Rest the Chicken: Remove it from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped cilantro on top before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, consider adding spices like cumin or garlic powder to the marinade. This dish is versatile and can also be made with pork or shrimp.
