- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) chili beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Sour cream (for topping)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Jalapeño slices (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Spread the frozen French fries on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake according to the package instructions until golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add ground beef.
- Cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes; drain excess grease.
- Add diced onion and garlic; sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until soft.
- Stir in chili beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika.
- Season with salt and pepper; simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until thickened.
- Transfer fries to a serving platter; spoon chili over them.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and broil for 1 to 2 minutes until bubbly.
- Serve with sour cream, chopped green onions, and jalapeño slices.
Notes
