Description

A delicious cast iron skillet pizza with a crispy golden crust and melty cheese, customizable with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough
  • Olive Oil
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Toppings of Choice
  • Cornmeal (optional for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough to fit the diameter of your cast iron skillet.
  3. Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium heat, then place the dough in, pressing it to shape.
  4. Cook for a few minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
  5. Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add desired toppings.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush the crust with garlic butter or sprinkle with Italian herbs before serving. Allow dough to rest before rolling for easier handling.
