- 4 cups of diced apples
- 2 cups of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup of lemon juice
- 1 packet of fruit pectin
Instructions
- Prepare jars and lids for canning.
- In a large pot, combine diced apples, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until apples are soft.
- Add caramel sauce and fruit pectin to the pot, stirring well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour the hot jam into prepared jars, leaving a little space at the top.
- Seal the jars and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
- Let the jars cool completely before storing them in a cool, dark place.
Notes
- For a smoother texture, blend the apples before cooking.
- Adjust the amount of sugar based on the sweetness of the apples used.
- This jam can be used as a filling for pastries or as a topping for ice cream.
