Description

Indulge in the warm, cozy flavors of fall with these delightful Caramel Apple Cider Donuts, enhanced by rich caramel and warm spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease your donut pan.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl: apple cider, melted butter, and eggs.
  4. Merge the wet mixture into the dry ingredients gently until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan cavities about two-thirds full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly on a wire rack before dipping in warm caramel sauce.
  8. Savor warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For a healthier version, try baking in an air fryer at 325°F (160°C) for 8-10 minutes. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
