Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the ricotta cheese, egg, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth using an electric mixer, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Combine the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl, whisking until no lumps remain.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gradually, stirring gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the mini chocolate chips and orange zest gently until evenly distributed.
  6. Portion the dough using a cookie scoop, placing spoonfuls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
