Description

Delicious blueberry cinnamon rolls filled with sweet blueberries and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, and egg.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  6. Spread the blueberries evenly over the dough.
  7. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle over the blueberries.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  9. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  10. While baking, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to make icing.
  11. Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh blueberries.
  • Can substitute frozen blueberries, but thaw and drain excess moisture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
