Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease your baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
- Combine the sliced bananas, 1 cup of granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir gently.
- Whisk together the self-rising flour, 1 cup of whole milk, and ½ cup of sugar in a separate bowl.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the coated bananas over the top without stirring.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the cobbler rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
- Top with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
Notes
For best flavor, use ripe bananas with brown spots. This dessert can be made in an air fryer; just adjust the cooking time.
