Description

Indulge in the warmth of Bananas Foster Cobbler, where ripe bananas meet a tender cake, topped with a drizzle of ice cream for a nostalgic dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss sliced bananas in a bowl with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Beat the melted butter, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently.
  6. Pour half the batter into a greased baking dish, layer with bananas, then pour remaining batter on top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

For a unique twist, use coconut sugar instead of brown sugar, or almond milk for a dairy-free version. Customize with nuts or dark chocolate chips.
