Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until mostly smooth but slightly chunky for texture.
- Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract into the bowl. Mix gently until just combined.
- Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron and pour in the batter, cooking until golden brown (about 5 minutes).
- In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and heavy cream over medium heat, stirring until it bubbles and thickens (about 5 minutes).
- Plate the waffles and generously drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the tops.
