- 1 medium onion, chopped

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Mashed potatoes (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the ground beef, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
- Form the mixture into 6-8 oval-shaped patties.
- Brown the patties in a skillet over medium-high heat, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Make the gravy by whisking flour into the remaining drippings in the skillet, then gradually adding beef broth and milk.
- Thicken the sauce until it simmers and add sour cream and melted butter.
- Arrange the patties in a baking dish and pour the gravy over them.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbling and cooked through.
- Serve over mashed potatoes if desired.
